9A. Motion to Amend Section 1 of Article 7, of the District By-Laws
Any participating member of the District, that is, a Benefit Unit member in good
standing, is eligible to be a board member (subject to Section 7 below). Pre
registration is required of an interest in a qualifying individual’s intention to run
for a position on the Board of Directors. This may be done by completing a
Registration Form during the filing period each year from October 1st through October
31st. Registration Forms shall be available at the District’s office during normal
business hours. However notwithstanding the foregoing, for the period of October 1,
2024 through the conclusion of the Annual Meeting of the Membership of the District
held in February 2025, the foregoing pre-registration requirement is waived, no pre
registration will be required and persons seeking to be elected to a position of a
director of the Board of Directors of the District, at the annual meeting held in
2025, may announce their candidacy for a position on the Board, for the first time,
at/during the said 2025 Annual Meeting, and may be elected without submission of a
pre-registration.
